Long Green Canvas Cotton Tunic

Make your own medieval experience with this long length green tunic. Suitable for personas up the the late 14^th century, including Viking, Norman and early middle ages.

Tunic-style garments have long been a staple in historical clothing attire, valued for their simplicity, comfort, and adaptability. Worn by Vikings, warriors, hunters, and adventurers, the tunic’s straightforward design allowed for easy movement and layering, making it an ideal choice for a variety of roles and settings.

Inspired by traditional Norse clothing the Mythrojan "Bjorn" Viking tunic is crafted from 100% cotton chambray at 200 GSM (grams per square meter, indicating fabric weight). This medium-weight chambray fabric combines durability with breathable comfort, perfect for long days at LARP events, SCA gatherings, Ren Fairs, and historical reenactments. The fabric’s natural drape and textured finish add an authentic touch, enhancing the overall medieval aesthetic.

This tunic features traditional goring and gussets, functional elements that add both authenticity and mobility. Gores—triangular fabric inserts placed along the sides—widen the tunic’s hem, giving it a fuller shape that allows greater ease of movement, especially when walking or riding. This added width also creates a natural drape, allowing the tunic to flow comfortably and enhancing its layered appearance.

Gussets are small diamond-shaped inserts sewn into the underarm areas, providing extra flexibility for the shoulders and arms. This design feature enables a wider range of motion, ideal for activities that require agility, such as wielding weapons, performing tasks, or simply moving comfortably through varied environments. The combination of goring and gussets allows for practical wear during physical activities while maintaining historical accuracy.

Available in six sizes—S, M, L, XL, XXL, and XXXL—this tunic provides a comfortable, adaptable fit for a wide range of body types. Care Instructions:
Washing: Machine wash on a delicate cycle. Turn inside out and wash separately or with like colors.
Drying: Hang or lay flat to air dry in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve color.
Ironing: If needed, iron inside out on a low heat setting or use a steamer to remove wrinkles.
Spot Cleaning: For small stains, dab with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
