This folding knife features a Damascus steel blade with a handle made from horn and brass. A nice gift for friends and family interested in Medieval or Viking history.
Archaeological finds provide evidence of the use of folding knives during the Roman to Renaissance era. With several knives from the Medieval era found in London, Fishergate York archaeological digs and Dordrecht excavations in Netherlands estimated to have been from the 13th, 14th and 15th century. A Viking folding knife possibly of Rus origin is also held by the Yorkshire Museum. estimated to date from the 9th century.
This knife is inspired by the above Medieval folding knives. Compared the original artefacts the blade and handle of this knife have been lengthened.
