Viking Birka Buckle- 20 mm Strap Width

This buckle is suitable for straps 20mm wide. The back of the buckle has four posts which are peened down to attach the buckle.

This buckle is most suitable for early Middle Ages, Dark Ages and Viking era belts. 

Based on an original archaeological artifact (pictured) from Birka Sweden (grave find 71).

If using a 20 wide strap the strap will require a small amount of tapering to fit through the buckle opening easily. Otherwise an 18mm strap can be used.

Includes four brass washers.
