This belt is a reproduction of an original 14th - 15th century belt. The belt buckle and end are based on an archaeological find from London. The mounts are a rose design, which was a common heraldic design in the medieval era. The red rose used by the house of Lancaster and the white rose by the house of York, these were combined to make the Tudor Rose by Henry VII after the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485.
The buckle, strapend and mounts are securely riveted onto the strap and all made from solid brass.
The black leather strap is 3cm wide and 3.5mm thick.
Available in Medium (130cm), Large (150cm) and Extra Long (170cm).
