Elbow Cop 16 Gauge Steel Type 2

Make your own set of 13^th or 14th century Medieval studded or splint armour with this pair of 16 gauge elbow cops or couter.

Plate protection of the elbow and knees first appears in the late 13^th century to provide extra protection to venerable joints that could not easily be protected by heavy padding which was restrictive to movement or mail which did not protect against blunt force trauma.

These cops are lined with leather and include a sturdy strap and buckle to allow them to be secured over a gambeson or mail.
