This mount is a reproduction of a bag fitting seen in the painting the Annunciation Triptych (Merode Altarpiece) by the artist Robert Campin estimated to have been painted between 1427–1432. Currently held by the Met Museum the painting and further details can be viewed on the following link http://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/470304

This style of mount was popular in the 14th - 15th century on kidney style bags and pouches. These fittings were always mounted in the late middle ages in pairs on either side of the kidney shape.

This mount is 5cm * 3.5cm in size. The mount includes three rivets to attach the mount. Price is for one mount.
