This coin is a reproduction of a French gros tournois coin minted by King Philip III (the bold) in the 15th century between 1413 -1422.

An example of this coin is currently held by the Fritz Museum and can be viewed on the following link. Also available separately are reproduction playing cards.

These coins are hand stamped by a passionate reenactor who performs historical coin minting demonstrations. As each coin is hand stamped small variations may exist adding to the hand made character of the coins.
