Almohad Dynasty Dirham Coin (1129 -1262 )

This coin is a reproduction of an Almohad Dynasty dirhen (dirham) minted in between 1129 – 1262. The Almihad Dynasty was a Berber Muslim movement founded in the 12^th century in Morocco. The Almohad Islamic caliphate went on to conquer much of North Africa and Southern Spain.

These coins are hand stamped by a passionate reenactor who performs historical coin minting demonstrations. As each coin is hand stamped small variations may exist adding to the hand made character of the coins.
