This coin is a reproduction of an Almohad Dynasty dirhen (dirham) minted in between 1129 – 1262. The Almihad Dynasty was a Berber Muslim movement founded in the 12th century in Morocco. The Almohad Islamic caliphate went on to conquer much of North Africa and Southern Spain.
These coins are hand stamped by a passionate reenactor who performs historical coin minting demonstrations. As each coin is hand stamped small variations may exist adding to the hand made character of the coins.
