These functional combat gauntlets are based on the design of the gauntlets seen on the tomb effigy the Black Prince (1330 – 1376) in the Canterbury Cathedral from 1376.

Made a made from 16 gauge steel these gauntlets have a flared cuff and offer excellent freedom of movement. The finger lames are fully articulated and are securely riveted to a thick leather strap which is sewn onto a 2mm thick leather glove. An additional brown leather strap across the palm keeps the glove securely in place during combat.

These gauntlets also feature extra heavy duty riveting across the finger lames (14 rivets on each finger), an extra leather reinforcement around the cuff to protect the glove as well as a closed and riveted cuff. These gloves are also more slender and shaped.

These gauntlets are most suitable for a 14th to 15th century Medieval re-enactment armour harnesses.
