Make your own Medieval experience and complete your armour harness with this reproduction klappvisor Bascinet helmet forged from 16 gauge steel.

Klappvisors appear to have been most common in Germany and North Italy in the mid to late 14th century between approximately 1345 to 1375.

This helm is a reproduction of a helm held by the Germanisches National Museum at Nuremburg in Germany (inventory Number: W1271 basinet and W1567 for the visor.

The helm has a leather safety strap and buckle that secures the faceplate in place for combat.

The interior size is approximately 64cm in diameter around the temple. The helmet also has an adjustable padded lining with suspension which is securely riveted. The helm has a chin strap with solid brass buckle to hold the helm in place. The interior of the helm is also blackened to improve corrosion resistance.

Suitable for 14th century Medieval re-enactment, LARP and Living history.
