Horns of Odin Drinking Horn 32-38 cm (13"-15")

Looking for the perfect drinking horn? This horn is hand carved with a symbol of three interlocking horns.

known as the Triple Horn of Odin, the Horns of Odin, or Horn Triskelion, this is a Viking symbol which refers to a narrative from Norse mythology. In the myth, Odin goes on a quest to obtain three drinking horns which contain a magical mead of poetry and succeeds in consuming one sip from each horn.  The symbol represents Odin's pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, and also poetry.

The horn has a decorative brass trim and end terminal.

The total capacity of the horn is approximately 400-500mL, but please be aware as a natural product, capacity will vary. Measured along the outside of the horn, the lengths range from 32-38 cm

Each horn is smoothly polished and finished with a water proof food safe epoxy. 

We recommend coating your horn in beeswax to prolong the use of your horn.

The horn shown is an example, of the style of horn. Due to both the natural variations in horns and the handmade quality, each horn is unique in its curvature and colour tone and maybe a mixture of yellow, brown, white, cream, black and clear in colour.

This drinking horn is made by Lord of Battles who are an official supplier of the Game of Thrones and The Last Kingdom TV series and crafted the drinking horns, cups and tankards shown in these series.
