This coin is a reproduction of an early 15th century German Teutonic Crusader schilling coin. The face of the coin has an image of a Medieval heater shield with an eagle and the reverse of the coin has the crusader's symbol of a shield with a cross.

The Teutonic Order was a military order created in 1190 to aid Christians on their pilgrimages to the Holy Land.  The order is known for their Prussian Crusade against the Pagan Baltic states in Northern Europe which began in the 13th century and their later Crusade against Pagan Lithuanian in the 14th century.

These coins were minted bewteen 1407 and 1410 when the Knights were at their peak power and land control which included the lands of Prussia, Livonia, Estonia, Gotland as well as some smaller states.

These coins are hand-stamped by a passionate reenactor who performs historical coin minting demonstrations. As each coin is hand stamped small variations may exist adding to the hand-made character of the coins.

Made from high quality pewter.

Each coin measures 20mm in diameter.

Dice also available separately.
