This coin is a reproduction of a Medieval Italian coin minted by the city state of Genoa minted under the rule of Doge Simone Boccanegra.
Genoese (Quartarola ¼ of a Quartaro) coins in this style were minted in the mid 14th century, between approximately 1339 and 1344.
These coins are hand stamped by a passionate reenactor who performs historical coin minting demonstrations. As each coin is hand stamped small variations may exist adding to the hand made character of the coins.
