Padded Arming Coif Long

Make your own medieval experience one to remember by protecting your head with this padded arming coif.

Made from cotton and designed for adding extra protection and padding underneath armour. The internal fabric padding is also made from cotton which helps to keep the wearer cooler compared to cheaper synthetic garments.

The coif is longer to provide extra protection to the neck and side of the face.  Coifs of this style work well with open face Viking and Norman era helmets and also helmets with mail aventails. The cord can be tied at the front to cover more of the neck.

Available in black, lined in white. The coif ties at the chin with a cord.

The coif is approximately 30cm in height.

Shoulder length coifs of this style can be seen on the Lewis Chess piece carvings made in the 12^th century in Norway.
