The use of forks in Western and Northan Europe fell out of use after the Roman period and returned to use in the 15th century in Italy. Forks for cooking and serving remained in use, however, the use of personal table forks for cutlery appears to have not been utilised.

Forks were re-introduced to Europe in the 15th century Italy via trade and contact with Byzantium and spread outward to the rest of Europe by the 16th century.

This fork is a reproduction of a gothic style fork from the late 15th century. The fork is made from 100% brass.

Suitable for 15th to 17th century re-enactment feasting equipment.

The fork measures 17cm in length and is 1.9cm in width.
