This cooking fire tripod is a reproduction of an original artefact found in the Oseberg (Osebergskipet ) Viking ship burial in Norway. The Oseberg burial mound contained numerous cooking tools and feasting gear including a cooking pot or cauldron and a long handle cooking pan (Both available separately) Currently on display in the Viking Ship Museum at Oslo, Norway the tripod is estimated to be from the 9th century. A photo of the original archaeological extant artefact is shown is the last photo below.

Each leg of the stand measures 120cm and when standing the top of the tripod is approximately 100cm from the ground. The hook is peened over on the top and the arms swivel so that the arms fold down for easy storage and transport. A perfect addition to your Viking or Medieval cooking gear for your next re-enactment, living history, SCA or LARP camping event.

Hanging grill and tremmel kettle saw not included and available separately.
