This coin is a reproduction of a Scottish 16th century Mary Queen of Scots gold royal three pound noble coin.

The face of the coin features a portrait of Mary facing left with hair filleted and wearing pearl necklace and Latin legend circle.

The reverse of the coin features the crowned Scottish Arms of a lion rampant in shield with Latin circle surrounding.

The original coin can be viewed on the website of the National Museum of Scotland (Online ID: 000-190-000-633-C)

These coins are hand stamped by a passionate reenactor who performs historical coin minting demonstrations. As each coin is hand stamped small variations may exist adding to the hand made character of the coins. 

Made from high quality nugold jewellers brass sheet. Nugold has a higher copper content that standard brass giving it its rich yellow gold colour.
