Are you hosting a kids party with a difference or looking for a special birthday or Christmas gift your child is unlikely to forget. Ignite their interest in history with this extra small kids chainmail shirt.

This maille shirt is a reproduction of a real style of medieval armour.

Made from steel 16 gauge wire, the rings are 10 mm in size and assembled in a 4 in 1 pattern. The rings are protected with a galvanized zinc coating for improved rust resistance. This zinc coating gives the rings the distinctive silver shine and protects the underlying steel from exposure to corrosive substances. The sleeves on this mail have been designed to be short to keep the weight down and make the mail easer to put on and take off.

Also available is the matching kids maille coif, wooden swords, leather Viking or Crusader helm and crusader tabard for a full costume set. Your kids will have the best costume this year at book week or the school costume competition / party.

When worn correctly the weight of the armour is distributed over the shoulders. However, for children, please consider the weight of this product compared to the body type of the wearer when purchasing to avoid muscle strain. The weight of a school bag will make a good comparison.

For children and teenagers of reenactors this item allows for the young adult to start training and getting used to the weight and feel of armour before the child is allowed to participate in combat. Compared to rivetted mail, butted mail can be easily altered and expanded as the child grows with the use of two pairs of pillars.

This product is manufactured by Lord Of Battles who support fair working conditions and equal employment opportunities.

The mail measures:

Flat across the chest: 34cm.

From shoulder to hem: 48cm

Measurements were taken flat. You will need to double the chest measurement to get the chest circumference, however please allow enough space for padding and wearing easel.
