Chain Mail Voiders Round Riveted Flat Ring (9mm 17g)

A pair of chainmail voiders made from 9mm 17 gauge mild steel round riveted flat rings alternating with solid flat round rings. Voiders are most appropriate for a late 14^th century to 15^th century armour harness.  Used with plate armour mail gussets or voiders are sewn onto an arming doublet or gambeson to protect the arm pits part of the chest and under side of the arms which are not covered by plate.

The use of voiders rather than full maille hauberks reduced the weight of armour and added to greater mobility.  

Please note, voiders sit on the underside of the arm and do not fully enclose the arm.
