St. Wenceslas (Wenceslaus I ) the “Good King" is believed to have worn the original relic as duke of Bohemia in the early 10th century.
His martyrdom, as well as several popular biographies, gave rise to his heroic reputation. Resulting in Wenceslaus being posthumously declared king and elevated to sainthood
It is theorised that the helmet’s nose-piece represents the figure of Jesus Christ on the cross. However, there is also evidence that nasal and rim depicting the Viking god Odin
Suitable for a wide variety of historical periods, the design of the helm is similar to the traditional late Norman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking era helmets of the 8th to 12th century as well as those worn in the first crusade.

The helm has a circumference of 68cm which enables the wearer to also fit a suitable padded chain mail coif, or padded cap.
The Helmet includes an adjustable leather liner with chinstrap and solid brass Buckle.
Like the original artefact this helmet has a high central peak and oval shape.
Made from 14 gauge steel.
