Be the envy of your friends with this premium belt set. This artisan-made set is a reproduction of a buckle which appears in the art work Portrait of a Lady painted by Rogier van der Weyden in approximately 1460 and is cast in Brass. Included in the set is the buckle, the strapend and three metal eyelets to decorate and reinforce the holes of your belt. In this high quality reproduction the strapend is double-sided, meaning your belt is inserted in-between the two plates so the end of your belt will look stunning no matter which way it hangs.
This set is suitable for straps 55 mm wide. The strapend measures 5.5cm x 5.8cm. The buckle measures 8cm x 8cm. They eyelets measure 1.6 cm in diameter.
Belts of this style were popular in the mid to late 15th century and could be made of fabric or leather and were worn with the buckle facing either to the front or the back.
